The Shadow of the Wind (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #1) - Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Lucia Graves Mmm, I don't easily give a 5, but this book has a bit of everything; humor, pathos, passion; love, hate, brutality, tenderness, despair, hope, and a certain air of mystery and wonder, but above all, it was hugely entertaining and a pleasure to read, so what the heck, I'll not be stingy. Who cares if it ever makes any list of snobbish, high-brow books...-at least it's a lot more enjoyable to read than a lot of "you must read this before you die" literature.
